Indy Eleven Loan Goalkeeper Kristian Nicht to MLS Montreal Impact

On February 5, 2015, Indy Eleven officially loaned the club's starting goalkeeper, Kristian Nicht, to the Montreal Impact for one month.  This will complete the trifecta for Nicht having signed with every level of professional soccer in the United States and Canada after having previously spent his career in his native Germany and in Norway.  It also marks the first Indy Eleven player to be loaned or to be transferred to a Major League Soccer club.

"I am looking forward to this challenge and giving my all to Montreal across the next month.  I greatly appreciate their faith in bringing me aboard during this important stretch for their club," said Nicht, the first signing in Indy Eleven's history.

The Impact were in need of a goalkeeper to compete in the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final series against Mexican club Pachuca, after the club's recent addition, Eric Krongerg, was ineligible having previously taken part of the competition with Sporting KC and with the Impact's third string goalkeeper picked up a shoulder injury.

"This was a perfect fit for all parties," says SSM’s President and Players’ Agent Justin Stone. “The Impact get the services of a quality, MLS level Goalkeeper without having to trade or loan within MLS while Kristian can prepare in top level environment ahead of Indy Eleven's 2015 Season."

Stone Sports Management would like to wish Kristian all the best during his time with the Impac and for the club to progress in the Touranment. He will travel to Montreal for a few days before traveling with the club for an extended pre-season trip in Mexico leading up to its away leg against Pachuca.  Stone Sports Management would also like to thank the Montreal Impact coaching and technical staff as well as Indy Eleven's Peter Wilt and Juergen Sommer for making arrangements to ensure this transaction happened.
