Stone Sports Management would like to congratulate New England Revolution Captain Jose Goncavles and the Revolution for winning the 2014 Eastern Conference Championship and advancing to the MLS Cup for the first time since 2007.  The 2013 MLS Defender of the Year led the Revolution back line that whethered a Red Bull flurry in the late stages of the match where one additional away goal by the Red Bulls would have kept the Revs at home. The Red Bulls had taken the lead through Tim Cahill and scored the important second goal at 2-1 through Peguy Luyindula.  However, Charle Davies scored his second of the match late in the game to put the home side ahead on aggregate after winning a week earlier 2-1 at Red Bull Stadium.

"It feels great.  It's a nice moment," Goncavles said after the match. "I'm very proud to lift this trophy.  I'm very proud of the team.  I think we fully desrve it.  It's been a long seasno.  It's not finished yet, and I think everyone is looking forward to winning the next one." Below is Goncalves' Post-Game Interview inside Gillette Stadiun as well as the Revolution's Celebration Recap Video.

Goncalves and the Revolution advanced to play the New York Red Bulls after advancing impressively past the Columbus Crew.  The Crew had been playing some of the best soccer in the Eastern Conference, but the Revolution were able to get four important goals at Crew Stadium, including the goal below by Goncalves.

Goncalves will seek to become the first Portuguese player in MLS history to win the MLS Cup, and the Revolution attempt to win its first MLS Cup trophy after finishing second on four previous occassions. The Revolution will face the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Stubhub Stadium. Please check out mlssoccer.com's website for stories and information leading up to the game.  Stone Sports Management's President and Players' Agent will be traveling to Los Angeles to take in the MLS Cup Finals and related events.  We wish Jose and the Revolution all the best in its preparations and to bring home the trophy to Boston!
