Major League Soccer's Vancouver Whitecaps today announced the signing of 26 year old Matthew Watson who came from Martin Rennie's 2011 Carolina Railhawks side that won the 2011 NASL Regular Season Title. Watson played with the Railhawks for the past three seasons where he had improved every season culminating being named to this year's 2011 NASL Best XI. Watson's play did not go unnoticed as several MLS clubs put him on discovery once the discovery orders reset in November. Watson will be obtaining his US Green Card in the next few weeks and will not count as an International. Click Here for the Official Vancouver Whitecaps Press Release.
