Stone Sports Management is pleased to announce that Striker Aaron King has signed with current Ykonnen league leaders Haka FC in Finland.  The recently turned 29 year old striker from Denver, Colorado inks his first European contract after a recent stint with Phoenix FC in order to gain fitness after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in 2012 while on trial in Europe.  The contract is for the end of the 2013 season with an option.

"I am very excited to begin this new challenge here in Finland. The professionalism has been top class, to be able to apart of one of the top teams in Finland is an honor.  I am looking forward to giving the team another option in the attacking third and am thankful for the opportunity that Haka has given me. I want to give thanks to Justin [Stone] and Sami [Salonen] for doing great work to get me in front of the right team here in Europe. I'm very excited to suit up for the next match in hopes of making a good debut here on European soil," remarked King after his signing.

King signed after impressing on trial and meeting with the Haka coaching staff and viewing the club's facilities.  King felt very comfortable with the group, including fellow North Carolina State alumn Koredi Aiyegbusi, and will look to lead Haka's attack for the remainder of the season with the goal to earn promotion to the Veikkausliiga.

"I am very pleased that Aaron has met his goal of finding a European club to experience and test his skills in a new setting.  After playing at every level here in North America (MLS, USL Pro, USSF Div. 2 and NASL), I am confident Aaron will scores lots of goals in the Ykonnen and help the club to promotion.  This is especially satisfying to see after Aaron suffered an injury in early 2012 while on trial in Europe, and it is great to see his hard work and determination rewarded.  This concludes the plan that we had set out days after his injury for him to find his way back to Europe in Summer 2013," says Agent Justin Stone.
